Christin Has Great Cholesterol Numbers!
Did you happen to catch Good Morning America this morning?
Dr. Mehmet Oz, co-author of You On a Diet, was interviewed by Diane Sawyer and gave the following optimum cholesterol guidelines:
- HDL should be more than 50 (good cholesterol)
- LDL should be less than 100 (bad cholesterol)
- Triglycerides should be less than 150
- Her HDL was 74!
- Her LDL was 75!
- Her Triglycerides were 69! (Wow!!!)
Let me also mention I misspoke during my interview with Jimmy Moore and his Livin Low Carb podcast. I said Christin lost 100 pounds in 5 months with Kimkins and had never dieted before. I meant "low carb" dieted. It's a low carb podcast and I thought that was assumed.
When I first met Christin she gave me a litany of diets she had tried like QWLC (Quick Weight Loss), Weight Watchers and Slimfast. She even spent thousands of dollars in a contract with L. A. Weight Loss -- none did the trick.
She knew low carb was the answer, but was leery of the high fat aspect of Atkins.
A Google search for "low carb" and "low fat" pulled up the Kimkins website and the rest is history. She joined, she lost, she never looked back!
Christin's own medical doctor told her that those excellent blood test results can only come from a healthy diet and exercise -- she does both!
See Christin's other test results here plus daily menus of how she eats in maintenance to stay an energetic size 4 (who keeps up with 2 even more energetic toddlers!)
